7China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
The circulating source has some static in it but the China->Rider is nice.
Early version of the song, but definitely finding its way nicely, a great mellow version that is jammed 10+ min.
Nailed it. Part of the great April run that coalesces the '71 sound. Killing 1st set with manageable mix and saturation issues.
4Sing Me Back Home
Saddle up heads, this is one of the nicest ones I know. Pre-Donna Jean, but the boys cover it with driving intensity and its nicely mixed for the era.
Stretches further out than earlier ones, like the Birdsong before they seemed to find WR's deeper groove and go furthur with it. Result? Beeyootiful.
5Hard to Handle
Another raging inferno. Benefits enormously from a great mix where everyone's audible and you hear Bobby's part. Hot stuff.
2Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
1I Second That Emotion
Nice version of the rare tune only played in April of 1971
4The Other One
Take the trip and see....
It sounds like Jerry wants to kill the song 3 times, but Bob pushes for more.
1Me and My Uncle
Solid early version.
1Playin' In The Band
Short one, only 4:37, but what's there is crisp and well-played.
1Next Time You See Me
Pig sounding great on a shortie. Jerry playing some sharp guitar. Great version.
1Me and Bobby McGee
Very well sung. Bob is feeling it.
Not the beastit would become, but a good early version.
If you dig those 1971 stand-alone Truckin's - you will like this.
At the 3:53 mark, Jerry decides it's time to tear this mother down.
High energy Drumz leading into The Other One.
1Not Fade Away
Solid '71 version.
2Johnny B. Goode
This is what we call a barn-burner. They tear the whole damn house down.
