Chrimsone Flectoids Fleebing Into Sparkled Mirthrons
These were a couple of shows back when WPLJ was a Rock station. Station personnel were handing out freebie stickers to the kids on their way into the show, ( still have one annoiting my guitar case ).
These were indeed very groovy shows and the vibe was light and fun and excited and also dripping, melting, fleebing harder, and mirthing with liquid slipper cluthes hanging with gription onto the nearest dangling participle.
For reasons unclear, there were many many silly rabbits hopping around searching for solid pieces of wall to hang on to for these shows. During the 1st halves, the house lights were turned on in the middle of a song. The kids went berserk, ( wild shouting during Loser ), shaking their bones.
Phil said, "We never get a chance to see you guys". Someone next to me said, "Damn, they just re-set the picture! So many hard edges!"
It semed to have a calming effect on some of the rabbits.
Lovely show, extripulate colours.

L. Rosely was right
Nice 4.5 star show. Excellent Franklin's Peggy-O and Eyes. I'll give it 4 to balance out L. Rosely's rating...and average 4.5 for the two of us.

sounds better than I remeber
At the time, thought it was an okay show. Kinda funny at the end of Scarlet b/c no Donna. Now, it sounds so lively. Was it really 27 years ago?!?!??!?!

Sweet show
When a show has a strong first set, you know that a strong second set is comming. This is one of those shows (nice Franklin). The playing is tight, the solos are hot, the vocals are good, and there is energy throughout. It's also a great setlist.
The low-point is drums into a not-particularly inspired Space. Overall, a 4.5.

Try again for the best FRANKLINS EVER
If in doubt listen to the jaded Garden crowd going batshit - That said, what is everyone going crazy to in Loser? Was anyone there? Great high power first set - They came to play and blow the doors off the Garden folk. The Scarlet>Fire is the 2nd killer version of that there for the year along with 1/7/79 - This is certainly ONE OF THE BEST EVER.

This is a hot one! The space section is long (13 min) and jammed out hard with drums!!! Seriously, check it out at least. Patches here and there (hard to hear beginning of half step), but this one has good moments all over the place. I'm sure they wanted to step up big in the Garden.

Great show!!
Nice quality (there are moments when the AUD pops in though). Parts of the show are unusually jumpy (pretty neat for fall 79), like the Peter, which is unusually fast -- rare and a great version.
I can't believe more people haven't commented on this show, it's a goooood one.

Young Brent
I enjoy hearing Brent's early shows. These 79 shows have a nice feel. The sound on this one is nice and clean.
