Smiling faces for adding two more shows at Nassau
After getting shut out of Albany via mail order I was bummed. I believe they added the 2 shows on right when tour started to give other people the opportunity to get in. Glad I was able to score tickets to the 4th and 5th. I don't really know why this show captivated me because it really kind of an up and down show but the high points are excellent.

Coming down the hill
I was there. Nice first set. Super disappointing 2nd set. He's Gone a bit of a reprieve but at that point the crowd was desperate for something better than I Fought->Way to Go Home->Corrinna. Wharf Rat also a relief but you can hear Jerry fading there, and again on US Blues. Moments like those are even sadder to listen to now, with the benefit of hindsight, than they were at the time. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. Thanks for the nice recording.

4/5/93
4 star first set in terms of performance. Music>Deal is excellent, as is the Tom Thumb & Lazy River. BT Wind is strong too.
3 star second set.....
leaning towards an overall 3
I love the Phil adaptation on Tom Thumb, "I'm stickin' here in NYC" instead of "goin' back"

first set
Not too many times do you praise the first set over the second. This is indeed the case. As for the second set..Law, Way to go home, Corrina...you get my point. It's yours if you want it. 3 stars for a tasty opening act.

Spring 93'
Wow. Download for the Music-Deal Tour De Force.
When they were on they were really on in 93' Since this site came online it is amazing how much more I have come to Appreciate this very underated year. This was a nice run at Nassua. I think Sun nite was the best show. But if you pick your spots this night has some of the most high powered playing of the tour. *Sound quality really degraded in set 2.

Second set is average, but the first set smokes...Garcia is on for Music and Deal...Black Throated Wind is one of the best versions of the era...I'm giving it 4 stars, only because the tunes that are really good are REALLY good...

This was my last show. Something always came up for the last tours after this. Music is
o.k. second set vocals kind of low. overall a nice show for your collection. I give it four stars for sentimental reasons

Solid but Standard
Last night of the Spring tour and the band sound a little tired - with Weir's vocals sounding somewhat rough at times. Nothing really exceptional about the performance but nothing bad either. The "Gloria" show finale is a nice addition, though for the most part it is a rather standard show. Sound wise, this copy has quite a bit of tape hiss from the cassette generation which is most noticable in Space. The vocals also sound a bit canned and distant, in Set II especially. Other than that I didn't notice any flaws of any kind.
