Fourth Days Between
4/41: He's Gone (11:30)->Drumz (21:38)->Miracle (4:38)->Days (10:28)->Around & Around.
I like this first quarter of song selections: Stranger, West L.A., BTW, Candyman. Ahh... and then there's the third quarter that I just can't stomach: Samson, OK. But the Way to Go Home, Broken Arrow... the sort of flip-side narrative of how great the late-era post-second comeback batch of songs could be. That said, it's also the beginning of an excellent - and prolonged - era of drumz.

solid show
I was at this show so i've listened to it a bunch. One thing that always stands out to me are the solos in West LA. At one point Jerry gives Vince some room to jam but he doesn't really dig in, then along comes the bridge and Jerry jumps right back in and totally throws it down. It's almost like he's sayin' "Vince, come on! Blow the roof off the mother!" I'm not bagging on Vince but it does make me laugh every time i hear it. e

Samson Delayed for a Wedding
There was a wedding on the floor of the Omni during the break. The band was back on stage, and they were kind enough to wait for the bride and groom to kiss. I remember the cop pushing a flashlight over the minister's shoulder and saying "they're waiting on you man!" The minister had purple tye die vestments and there were purple balloons all over. The wedding party got ushered to the front row for their first dance to Samson and Delilah! A good time had by all.

girlfriend?
This was an awesome show! You can't hear it on the tapes/cd's, but the acoustics in that place were awesome! Too bad they tore it down. I was a Sophomore in college that year, and I swear my ex-girlfriend from the 9th grade was sitting beside me. I was too scared to ask if that was her due to my trippy mind that evening, but to this day, I'm sure it was her.
Anyway, the He's Gone voice jam is great, as well as the Baba>Tomorrow encore. That place went berzerk when Vince jammed on that one.
