getting warmer
2nd show of the year and the boys are slowly warming up. I didn't get much energy from the previous night though I did enjoy the PITB jam while doing some cleaning around the house.
I find this show really gets going in Tenn Jed and definitely by It's All Over Now. Loser has some nice moments and the set-closing Woman Smarter is fun.
The energy pours over into the 2nd set with a nice Scarlet... the transition to FOTM is exquisite and a unique one as I ever heard. The fire is blazing by now and I hope it doesn't fade away... we shall see!

Terrific
I only have listened to the Scar-Fire so far, but it's a lovely one. Long but not aimless, a really interesting transition between the two, and in general pretty scorchy! Very tasty! I would give a 5, but I haven't heard the whole show and may not because the switching back and forth from Aud to SBD is disturbing.

Beginning of a great year
I reduce the treble to the zero mark once again with great results. Takes alot of the hiss and unatural high end out. This show would sound great through headphones I agree. I must procure a pair. Must find a way to avoid punishing my neighbors. I'm fortunate to have noisy neighbors late in the night hours that way I can play Grateful All night long at considerable volume. Scarlet into Fire is risky in the best way.` 4 stars for quality. 4 for performance

This is a hot show - Gave this a 4 at first and came back...
You should too.... Give this a second listen, they don't let up at any stretch. Hot Estimated, All over now, Sugar Mag++. This is everything you want in a great show. It is not flat at all.
C'mon people we have been to enough weak shows to know a flat and unenergetic - They are playing all high energy tunes, CC Rider, Sugaree, Tenn Jed etc. First set is great and quality is fine. 82 was uneven at times so this is a godsend...

Nice show
Sound quality very nice, lots of verve(I listened on a set of Bose headphones)lots of life. Some nice stuff, the jam inside of EP was as good as anything from 77-78.Everybody seems to be on their game, one of the better shows I've heard from this time period

Autopilot...
This is one of those shows that (if you were there) was great, but listening back to a hissy board is really sort of, well...boring. Everything just seems really flat and unenergetic. Setlist OK. Sound not great. Phil can hardly be heard until Loser, where he all of the sudden appears out of nowhere. My favorite parts were the AUD patches. If I had it over again, I would have d'loaded the AUD or not at all. Nice Satisfation, though.
Sound=2.5, Setlist=2.5, Performance=3...2.666 overall.

This is nice...
I gave a pan review to the Aud on this, but what an upgrade here. The Warfield is a great place that seemed to always get Jerry going, and as i said in the other review, i'd give alot to have seen the full band electric at this venue.
Worth listening to for many reasons...the jam in Bird Song is down right jazzy...super nice imho.
enjoy..

Thank You
Bobby says at the end using that acapella voice. Always cracks me up.
Supurb performance and a very nice recording, even with a couple of AUD patches. No matter.
Great from start to finish. Second set rules. Excellent Scarlet>Fire, with a groovy Estimated to follow.
Harmonies during Wheel were a bit harsh but that's not new.
Sugar Mag is Wharp 5 Mr. Sulu.
Satisfaction is nice here.
