and the one you're thinking of, about which I agree was indeed great! So look ahead from this one here: one year! Sincerely, Ray Augustine P.S. My rating here is not about you or the quality of this copy which I know is the important thing, but this show is good but not as great as the one your thinking of!

The Same Thing
This show was outstanding...I was totally in sync as soon as The Same Thing evolved out of Playin as I happened to be listening to the 71 show that it
...
played last...weird but true, it started with a heavy drum beat and wow...if I remember correctly the show openned with Sat night and broke immediately into Jackstraw, completing the 27th beginning of it...this show had crazy energy, THE BEAM came alive during drums...The kicker when the show ended it was raining pouring monsoon buckets from the sky with 4 inches of water in the Oakland Col parking lot, with the same energy of the show...brimming, tingling with raw exploratory forces...Standing on the moon was also out of this world, Jerry standing lit up in a spotlight beam of indigo UVish light...and yes "I would rather be with you too" Jerry right here on earth though...miss ya.

Ahhh...
A was in attendance, and was seriously freaked at the He's Gone>Jam. Jerry was clearly expelling a lot of emotion, and the result is a dark, beautiful

melody, which is preceded by a true burndown. RIP Brent...This run is a great one, almost rivals the MSG feeling of early Bruce+Dead. This melody appeared in jams afterward, I heard it in the last refrains of He's Gone at Buckeye Lake of 91 and, if memory serves me right, Greensboro 91 Space. Any more out there?

Agree with Lobstah
This show is very good, if not excellent. A true kicker is the Foolish Heart...the boys rock OUT! Could be THE hottest on record. You decide. Both

of the jams are on fire, but the one at the end in particular has extremely high energy. The interplay between Jerry and Bruce is something to behold. The momemtum builds and they definitely cross that proverbial line which defines their enthusiam and talent. I can't get enough of that grand piano; Bruce adds so much to the overall output, it is amazing to witness via the ears. So many other highlights as well, including the CRS opener, All Over Now (nice intro), BE Women, Chinacat->Rider 2nd opener, and of course the He'sGone->jam. Sickness. I hear the previous reviews' reminiscence of the Mind Left Body Jam out of He's Gone...pretty special. Rock on, thank you Kindly for the sea'd.

Victim> Foolish Heart 2: China Cat> I Know You Rider, Saint> He's Gone> Jam> Drumz> Watchtower> Stella Blue> Around E: Black Muddy River
This show was so bitter sweet. This was the first HeÂs Gone in Cal following BrentÂs death. It is truly heartbreaking/warming. You can hear the crowd
...
fall silent during the bulk of the song and then begin cheering for Vince when he comes in strong. It was a very moving song. The jam that followed the HeÂs Gone turned the Arena into a small smoky bar somewhere in the bowery. Just magical. There is also a mini Hidaway jam in Around and Around. It was fun to hear that nugget brought out. This whole show rocked. Get this show and keep it on hand.

work. My second Hornsby show. He was in good form. The grand piano sounds great backing the band. Bob's voice is pretty sweet for this show, and Jerry's guitar weaving is in full effect. Good quality recording, which really gives the effect that you are present at the show. This show rocks! It would be in your best interest to record this show for your personal collection.
