3Friend of the Devil
Poignant yet not somber, slow but not dragging; Mellow serene and emotive; Very strong full band interplay.
3New Minglewood Blues
A roaring Minglewood; Check Weir's good slide solo, Garcia's ripping solo; Some fat Phil and some Gospel Brent.
7Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
A quick and driven entrance into the Help featuring Brent and Phil filling elusively and Jerry nailing it; Very intricate Knot; Infectious Franklins.
8Playin' In The Band
A cannon into outer space; Enters uncharted territory; Reminiscent of 73' DS jams; Locked and zoned in jamming.
A Wharf Rat that convinces to the point of perfection. One of the best....period.
A really *really* great Brokedown encore. A highlight of the entire tour for sure.
7West L.A. Fadeaway
Jerry takes this one slow....
Distorto Jerry is throwing sparks at you! Play then hit repeat - Bob throws a mental scream in at the end -thank me later.
Smokin' opener Jerry jams this one hard > Promised Land
Jerry blows the doors off this one. Brent cranks the B3 up nicely on this one too. Rippin' early 80's style here.
Weir is the burned out shift leader here doing the dirty grimy factory jam.
i really dig the instrumental passages on this one
3Don't Need Love
Brent being his passionate self
3Not Fade Away
White-Hot solo at the drop crazy nasty attack on your vitals.
Franklin's Power - check it and you will see. Plus a sweet serenade from Jer towards the end. SBD/Aud all good.
1Looks Like Rain
I like the way this one builds
