Wouldn't have said no thanks to it in the 80s if somebody gave me a tape. It's shaky and incomplete; otherwise a good listen.

sound issues
i would pass on this one if we could DL====sound is very fishy----wishy washed out
they are playing these tunes in a very unusual way----love the thomas dolby style solo on scarlet by Brent--------the drums sound very iffy
and the recording is warbled a bit----sounds like an early attempt at a matrix style mix

My birthday
I enjoyed getting to hear this show from the day I was born. There were many of my favorites played and it is very special to me!

this sounds great!
With so many '79 Brent shows unlistenable, this is a treat - at least for me.
We start with one of those easy going, laid back Scarfires that goes in all sorts of directions and allows the Boys to gel. 2 years from monumental but less than a few months from spectacular. Bobby is particularly strong with an interesting ending Jerry solo.
While not crackling, Sampson does have nice vocals while Jerry does seem to be walking Brent through it during his solos. Phil is always great.
Ship is Ship. Some bothersome whistling but it passes. Playin' starts with a very nice bounce. Love it when Bob doesn't try to oversing and I'll never miss Donna's screaming.
Bottom line - with so little to choose from during this time I'll burn a copy. then again, I do have 1000 or so shows... peace

Hmmm....
Not a particularly crisp SBD. This is the band's first effort after a six week layoff, and the rust shows. Scarlet starts tentatively. Garcia takes an extra run pre-WITW verse, but nothing worth comment. The jam starts with a strange synth solo from Brent.
