having two separate sources that differ so much in quality is an abomination, they should pull this one from the archive..well, maybe thats too harsh, but there was never any point uploading this. the first set sounds great, you cant beat the nak 300's, they really capture the whole spectrum, always nice to get those rumblings from Phil. the playing seem flawless, so ya can't complain about that, but set two sounds like it was recorded with a towle over the mikes, worse than muddy, actually not worth trying to listen to it. i have to say if i had gotten a tape with this quality back then (which i did on occasions) i would toss it. so zero stars for set two, 5 for the first set and the performance, guess its a 2 and a halfer, split it down the middle, now if i can only post a half star somehow....my lowest rating ever.

Well, here is a show that really should have been uploaded as 2 seperate uploads (set 1 vs. set 2) since they are from 2 different sources. I will review seperately.
Set 1: Good sound. A little too much high end, but decent. Setlist is neat with great versions of Candyman, Esau and Don't Ease. They were pretty much on with Garcia throwing in nuances like "I learned to walk the jive" during Candyman. Sound=3.5 stars, setlist=3.5 stars, performance=4 stars...3.67 overall.
Set 2: As noted in the notes, MUDDY. So muddy that I will probably never listen to the entire set again. Setlist is basic. You can tell the China>Rider is hot performance-wise, but the sound sucks so bad... Sound=1 star, setlist=2.5 stars, performance=3.75 stars...2.42 overall.
Overall rating: set 1=3.67, set2=2.42...3.05 overall.
