The sound quality is amazing. Charlie Miller has made it a mission to provide the best version of seemingly every Dead show. There are many others to thank -- but Charlie's efforts, just thanks...! Fun transition in/out of Miracle. Fun show. The Frost is one West Coast venue that I never experienced.

Worth listening to just to hear the transition from I Need a Miracle into US Blues.

as i've mentioned before, a tape of this show in '87 converted me over to the "drumz" experience (it'd never quite excited me before).

along with all hamza el din appearances, 10-31-83 and a handful of others (say, 8-22-93), this is far and away one of my favorite versions of drumz.

sweet recording (despite some obvious painfully '86 moments).

the set list numbers don't correspond with the actual tracks for the 2nd set.

this archive seems to have the best sound compared to the other copies of this show.

Jerry is only half present for this show,
probably can be attributed to this period that was leading to his meltdown.

these versions of the familiar classics have a diferent sound with Bobby guitar parts where you expect to hear Jerry.

The whole band really picks it up where Jerry was slacking. It's a testament to the fact that the Dead were more than just Jerry's sidemen.

Even with Jerry being partially present, his contributions do help to enhance this show.

...and the boys are for sure having a good time. ahh, the frost. kinda of a cool set list too. some good jamming as well. love it

I had a tape of the 2nd set many years ago. A nice flow here. Love the "Comes A Time." Great recording.
