Greatest Story Ever Told
Teeming with raw energy and passion...really goin' for it and rippin' it
131
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Shocking this version has not been submitted yet. Funky and Jazzy as they come. Can't believe I never heard this one!!!
20
Around and Around
My goodness is this an amped up version. Not typically a fan, but this version rips!
33
Truckin'
Bouncy, romping version into a nice NFBM jam. Good shit Miroki
2
Casey Jones
Keith and Billy really shine hear, and Phil is most excellent
124
Eyes Of The World
All the Eyes from June 1974 are out of this world, this is my favorite.
56
Big River
The Eyes>Big River transition is one of the coolest transitions I've heard in a while. My Jaw was wide open during it, WOW!!!
24
Deal
Amazing version; Garcia takes his solo for a couple extra runs around the block!
71
Playin' In The Band
I can't believe this wasn't on the list... around the 16 minute is some of the most epic crazy jamming ever!
12
Scarlet Begonias
One of the best stand-alone versions IMO, this one gets quite extended for such an early version, with a jam that flows and peaks.
18
Mind Left Body Jam
Unique "slow" version that caps off a monster jam out of Truckin'. Must hear material.
17
Nobody's Fault But Mine
The Truckin is good but the gem is the NFBM jam that follows.
17
The Race Is On
Nice verison from Road Trips.
4
Bertha
The bass cut at the start of this is a tragedy. Still a great version.
7
It Must Have Been The Roses
Truly beautiful version.
4
Jack Straw
There are some nice moments in the show before this, but it really takes off around here.
11
U.S. Blues (Wave That Flag)
This is such a high energy show that even the useless blues rocks!
16
Wharf Rat
Love the MLTBJ going into this one.
9
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Heady version at this epic show! Just a great vibe with theb whole show!
5
Feelin' Groovy Jam
Short and beautiful in the China -> Rider transition
3
Me and My Uncle
Killer version from a stand out show and tour.
6
Sugaree
Despite all the sound problems and a cut chorus, this just swings. Billy's nicely upfront in the sbd, everything gels. Melodic, heartfelt.
5
Row Jimmy
High & lonesome, lithe & lean, and not too slow. Drums mixed way up in sbd and Billy's syncopated pulse carries the song.
2
Ship of Fools
Great '74 version a week before the GOAT, part of an incredible show and third set
1
China Cat Sunflower
Many sweet moments!
1
Mexicali Blues
Often a throwaway, this super bouncy version from a top 10 show sparkles.
