Incredible verrsion of one of the best shows of 71'. They were so relaxed you can tell they were having fun this night!
5
Big Boss Man
The boys were in a really nice place this night. Killer harp work and Jerry is smoking. This is one of the better shows of 71 IMO!!
3
Me and Bobby McGee
Not the biggest fan of this song, but this version is nice and mellow!

Next Time You See Me
Pigpen in top form here. Gotta love this early blues!!

Hard to Handle
Starts off with Pigpen improving lyrics then Bobby and Jerry battle off each other beautifully. Give it a listen!!

Morning Dew
Europe '71...Not as ballyhooed, but Pig Pen was hot as Paris in Summertime.
3
Me and My Uncle
Great sound. Some tuning/monitor problems earlier but by this they've worked it out. Nice clean version in what turns out to be a killer show.
4
Black Peter
Strong and powerful, like all the best versions of BP. Deep emotions on great pulse to this one.
7
The Other One
Absolutely fantastic space version, goes off in all kinds of crazy directions.

Sing Me Back Home
another beautiful version, love this jail cell lament this is gorgeous

Wharf Rat
wonderful moves beautifully from a mesmerizing the other one.

Punchy with some heat. Pigs tone on the pipe organ(?) or electric piano makes this special too. Source:CM

Cryptical Envelopment
This RIPS nicely but then I love all these... One drummer combo.
3
Casey Jones
The boys are loose and having fun they rock this and biff the end - then bring it back.
3
Promised Land
Pig on the pipe organ this clear and smokes nicely.
4
Sugar Magnolia
They crush this one sweetly for the french crowd.
3
Deal
Backyard '71 Deal

Loser
Jerry knocks the solo right into the French countryside. Billy has some nice fills and the quality is pristine! One of 71s best shows
1
Playin' In The Band
Only about four and a half minutes, but this one rocks hard. and in the backyard of a French chateau!!!
