Great Acoustic Set
I had this tape for a long time and nice acoustic set, the rest par for the course. Funny thing is the Wharf Rat. I am almost sure it was on my old Warfild Maxell. This site is great fun.

Lotta Bass --- actually all the outputs seem high, but it's a super tasty set...and I got an Equalizer that fixes it ;)
Well done on the WharPH Rat to start off the tape...Where's it from? Is it 77?

Dynamite set
A little shaky starting out on Dark Hollow, and perhaps the ending Ripple, but a great accoustic set, as many of these fall 1980 first sets are. Here, the vocals and harmonies are tight, as is the playing, as demonstrated in the beautiful Lay Me Down. Iko Iko as an accoustic piece is always a treat for me. Cassidy is as hot as any electric version the band ever did, with great jamming. The song seems made for accoustic instruments. Jack-a-Roe is uptempo and exciting. Bird Song is a delight.

Wharf Rat Filler
I believe this Wharf Rat is from the Boston Garden show...05-07-77. It's in between The Wheel and Around&Around. Absolutely awesome. If you read the notes for these files, it was a mystery to this day. Well, SherlockRider just solved one of the mysteries. Now, where is this Heaven Help the Fool from?
As far as these Warfield acoustic sets go, if you don't own Dead Reckoning you had better get it. A DVD of Dead Set is coming soon too.

lay me down
At the end of To Lay me down, Bob trys to sing the chorus one more time while Jerry is ending the song. Someone gets angry with Bob after they finish and you can hear what transpires until Brent (sounds like Brent) yells, "everyone makes mistakes sometimes!" Kind of funny. I wonder if they were trying to be that perfect or just get a good track laid down for Reckoning? And of course a smokin Cassidy follows after the tiff. This is a good one.

My personal favorite of the fall 80 acoustic sets
Download it by individual song and omit the wharf rat and heaven help to get the accurate set - don't know how or why those tracks were uploaded.
Lay Me Down and Bird Song in the same acoustic set makes this one special - grab it. sound quality is fantastic too
