Shortest Dead Show ever ???
I was booking concerts for OSU at the time of this show and the Belkins were kind enough to get me in since it was sold out. No seats out front, so my

date and I had to sit on Phil's amp box on side of stage for the show. No big scene backstage, us two and a handful of Hells Angels. Reading the posts regarding this show and I see that all have failed to mention one big event that shaped the music that night. Word out of Ghana was just getting back to the states regarding Jonestown and the scene there. Very heavy hearts in and around the band. Jerry called off an encore as he had his leather on and briefcase in hand leaving out the backdoor. A Great, albeit short show on the North Coast !

on Passenger. Otherwise, a decent effort. Seems to me this period between hot 77 and early 80s as a time in which they are searching for the sound. Everything seems to be going through the motions, with sparks of brilliance.

Big Thanks
I've been wondering if an entire copy of this show would ever surface, so big thanks to all those involved in splicing and dicing this together. I've

enjoyed listening to the second set for years, but hearing the whole thing places things into better perspective. As expected, the sound is iffy in places, but that doesn't overshadow the joy of hearing this show in its entirety. The five stars pertain to the quality of the musicianship and song choices (franklin's, roses, jam>Jackaroe (!!), World to Give (!!!)), not the sound quality.
