Super Rockin Version!, Sooo many good ones but this is tops for me. To be in the best of the best its gotta have that explosive out of the gates start
A wonderful Jerry/Phil duet on this one. Not quite the legend of Veneta, but still very strong in its own right.
7Playin' In The Band
A very, very heady version, 2 days prior to the famous Veneta show.
13The Other One
Even though it cuts out after 16mins, a really fine 1972 TOO. Worth 16 minutes of anyones time.
15Cold Rain and Snow
Kicks off arguably the best show of '72. Tight, fun, and rockin'. Great show opener.
Note for note precise, beautiful playing. The outro is lovely and doesn't descend into madness. Donna gives it a nice gospel touch.
Powerful tight playing. C.Miller cleanup, boys playing the 1st set like their lives depended on it. Peak Dead.
An ultimate performance. Jerry's voice is in perfect shape. Powerful, chilling version that will make your hair stand on end. Shamefully overlooked.
11Friend of the Devil
Sparkles. Has an electric country sound that just crackles with energy. Perfect execution.
7Black Throated Wind
Flawless. It just leaves me breathless how good this show is.
A brand new Stella Blue that was lost and is now found, Dave's Picks 24 is here, and it's a great one...
The most active, detailed ’72 Jack Straw I can recall.
2One More Saturday Night
Not a song i usually post or even dig. This one really has some solid energy at this under the radar show.
A few flubs at the start, but they make up for it by playing for their life afterwards, crazy intensity
Tight reading of this classic.
