It’s always soulful in ‘72. This one is no exception

Hopping here! Not always a vehicle for jamming and its kind of a mundane tune, but the jamming near the end of this one fucking rocks my balls.

Under rated song from an under rated show. Nice licks here. Mundane but with a rocking purpose.

Not quite as stellar as some 77 versions. However the 5 piece band nails this one. Very nice phil bombs throughout and Jerry shines.

Me and Bobby McGee
June 8, 1974
Coliseum Stadium

This version is almost 10 minutes long and I love it! Bobby nails the vocals, it smooth bouncy and all around great fun.

Blistering solo from Jerry. Keith so gingerly stroking the keys. Makes my ears happy.
Foolish Heart

Brent is very melodic here. The whole band is working to make a silky beautiful tune and they do a fantastic job.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
June 16, 1974
Iowa State Fairgrounds

I still prefer 10 days later 6/26/74. But this one is growing on me, its stellar. Rocking China Cat, but the transition is mesmerizing. It sounds like Jerry plays a "Ive been working on the railroad" riff, just shortly after the meltdown. Absolutely fantastic!!
To Lay Me Down

Without calling anyone an idiot. This version is absolutely silky smooth. Jerry's voice is pristine. Very dreamy. I like the 2 1990 versions a lot. But this one shines above. It is peaceful and subtle. It is lulling me as I type and I love it.
