Eyes Of The World
Sept. 8, 1990
Coliseum
Fantastic version. Makes you wonder how quickly Vince could have developed his own voice which he eventually did by somewhere in 93-94, if he didn't have to jockey with Bruce. Oceanic, meditative, tight, playful, kind version.
Jack Straw
Aug. 22, 1993
Autzen Stadium - University of Oregon
another fantastic version - Lightning Bolt working that crispy trebly tone, phil/devils off the leash.
Jack Straw

Deer Creek Music Center
powerful screaming version. Bob cuts the big man off while he's rolling
He's Gone
Oct. 28, 1977
Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Hall
great call, this seems like a major version- 77 is of course the heyday of slow he's gone and this one passes with honors. Betty board is translucent honey. This version is a fearful beggar experiencing disregulation of identity- devils find the spot in the downbeat completely free of anticipation, Phil 'n' Bob jigsaws aligning. Great coda and sprawling dark jam to follow.
Eyes Of The World
March 31, 1991
Greensboro Coliseum
absolute face melter of a version, cauldron stirring
