Great set closer. Jerry is top notch and Brent was at his best when he behind a B3.

Excellent Cassidy with deep jam, Jerry and Brent throwing colors on the canvas.

Pretty Peggy O

Just a perfect Peggy-O. Jerry's voice is so strong and his solo is melodic, band doesn't rush and Brent has some nice textures from his keys.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

“Don’t wanna be beaten this old way…” Shorter, with just a single solo, but extremely powerful performance that could have been on Skull N Roses

Wharf Rat

My two cents Carrion_Crow... I think that labeling this jam as "Playin'>Wharf Rat>Playin'>Meltdown>Playin'" is like labeling 2/18/71 as "Dark Star>Wharf Rat>Dark Star>Beautiful Jam>Dark Star." It gives you a literal play-by-play of the action, but it possibly takes away from the fact that jams like these are fluid, that these transitions are subtle, and that's what makes the music magical. But other people like the analysis, and that's cool too! With that said, i'd likely keep that jamming labeled as Wharf Rat, because even though it crosses into Playin' territory it is also coasting on the Wharf Rat tempo and it doesn't really feel clear until the main ten theme. ok i'll get off my soapbox now

Stop what you are doing and listen to this. No seriously just stop whatever you are doing, click on the link and let Donna and Bob’s harmonies and Jerry’s soloing transport you.

blows my mind that a Dark Star this amazing is on page 4 at #51. there's so many things that make this one special: it's among the longest ever (just behind Rotterdam a week later and 12/6/73 Cleveland), it's the only E72 version with the second verse, and the band was trippin' so hard on acid on this show that Donna somehow found herself underneath the piano in the middle of this performance. and that's not even commenting on the music; this is one of the deepest, spaciest, psychedelic Dark Stars you'll ever find in my opinion. the atmosphere the band generates after the verse rivals 2/13/70 in my opinion- feedback swells that melts into a so-quiet-you-could-hear-a-pin-drop drum break, which melts into the the slow reintroduction of the rest of the band that gradually builds into Feelin' Groovy jam. immediately after the rare second verse is the definitive Sugar Mag from the Europe '72 album, which makes the whole sequence a joy to listen to.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

doesn't have quite as adventurous jamming or jazzy/funky drum grooves from Billy as others from '74, but undoubtedly a strong, very mellow version from a great run- plus a great video from the movie!
