Just a perfect Peggy-O. Jerry's voice is so strong and his solo is melodic, band doesn't rush and Brent has some nice textures from his keys.

literal perfection.yes, it's true that this Dark Star isn't the mindblowing psychedelic jazz rock jam that the band would usually treat it, but that makes it special. Personally, I like that it's very mellow, that Dark Star doesn't need to be full of scary feedback or crazy jazz fusion passages. and it kicks off one of the best second set sandwiches of the Dead's career.

tape issues aside, this performance (and whole show) shows off the incredible playing and fidelity of the Wall of Sound era. Keith is loud and clear, the Feelin' Groovy jam is as sublime as ever, and Phil sounds remarkable throughout the CCS.
