Bobby: “could’ve been a spoonful of diamond…. Coffee” this one’s got some decent jamming. In the middle. End jam’s sloppy. Better than later versions

An absolute barnburner from what I consider to be the Dead’s most underrated year. ‘87 RULES! Jumps into Bertha quickly

There is a familiar riff someone plays at the start of this out of Space but I cannot put my finger on it. This is a good one. Short. Into Miracle

Beautiful one. Garcia is on absolute fire. I still think June 8 to be the king of '77 GDTRFBs, but this one hits a wonderfully soaring peak like any killer GDTRFB should. Front pager 4ever

One of my top 5 all-time shows. Absolutely fucking bonkers start to this. The entire band is KNIVES out from the jump. Through much of the jam, band members present ideas, but they don't entirely commit to one too much through the jam. It works out best directly in the middle of the jam.

Excellent one, especially the TOO #3, after the legendary Dew that precedes it. This one, in my mind, doesn't get as out there as other TOO's on the Europe tour. The real magic is what lies interwoven in it, which makes it a special set.
