Not sure what constitutes a "Mountain Jam" but this is a jam in the mountain and it's fantastic stuff. Garcia soars w/ that '73 tone, Lesh is on fire.

A true beast. Perhaps the best standalone Let It Grow they performed. Everyone on their a-game. Drummers coming through with fury. Garcia’s first solo goes from urgent to graceful, then an awesome rise and fall verse leads to a jam that I can only describe as full of sheer cinematic beauty from the entire band.

Super overhyped in my humble opinion. I find this one to be precise and highly energetic, but ultimately extremely clinical, perhaps because it was a super early version. Basically sounds like a run-through of their new material. May 9, 1977 and June 9, 1977 go back and forth for my favorite ever. 2.26.77 has a real standout Slipknot, much more bright-eyed than the one here IMHO. 10/6/76 has a much stronger Franklin's than this as well, with a more exploratory sequence as a whole.
