Comes out of a magical Mardi Gras parade. The band's on point. Good energy. They do flop the ending chant lol. I blame Healy's obnoxious messin around

Good vocals and searing, sharp guitar work from Garcia. Bobby's on point. Said it, say it again. I love '87 Dead. Good jump into Throwing Stones

Obnoxiously heavy keys, but it's okay. Nothing can take away the joy I feel from hearing Garcia sing this song. Solid one.

Also their first performance since the death of Elvis, just a month prior. They begin with an Elvis classic, Promised Land.

You know they were ready to duke it out during this drums section with all that energy they’ve been bringing this show. I was real excited to hear this drums and they BROUGHT IT!! This is some of the best drums I’ve heard from these boys, no joke. Real dark magic and awesome sounds emanating from this one.
Dancin' in the Streets

This one is MAJOR! This whole show is major!! Killer dancing. garcia is throwing down some real creative disco runs, sending the crowd into boogietown. Drums have had awesome energy this entire show. The band sounds so righteous and professional with explosive energy.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

St. Paul Civic Center Arena

Fuck this is a nice Fire. Cool, calm, and collected. So remarkably well-executed by everyone involved. Then comes that final jam and, oh, that tone just screams at you. Keith rarely chases Garcia’s leads with his piano, which I like, but here he plays it and it sounds great during the jam. Then Garcia runs away into oblivion and everyone is in an absolute frenzy. HUUUUUUGE ending jam here that wraps up perfectly.
