Few flubs, but I loved Phil during this. Boogie Eyes.

Not a song I've heard played poorly by this band. Great, swinging one! Howling solo :D

Cold Rain and Snow

This one's real different. A lot to do with the mix, but Garcia's tone is punchier, playing it more excited and inspired, and Phil and Weir are doing really neat runs around him that show off just how locked in they were with him much of the time. Nice one.
Sugaree

The Sportatorium

A masterful Sugaree, truly. Keith makes it sparkle. Garcia makes it shine. Donna makes it sweet. Bob keeps it inspired. One of those tunes that was good throughout most of their years, but it really reached a major peak in '77. My very favorite part of Sugarees that particular, though, is where it all culminates at the very end jam with the "shake it, shake it", with Garcia absolutely riding that Bean and the whole band chiming in with glorious vox. Donna & Garcia's combined vocal power shines so spectacularly there.

I fuckin love the hot and heavy drums in this one. Brent's all over it too.

A huge one. The jam gets pretty intense here if you listen to the right things.

I've always really loved what Bobby brings to this song. Real magic. Warms the heart.
