He Was A Friend of Mine

So blissful you might just find yourself floating out of time. A beautiful mellow island in a sea of blazing psychedelia. China Cat tease at the end.

The Matrix

Rarity w/o Pig or Bobby, but TWO glorious Dark Star jams on this "goof" of a night. Strictly speaking not the Dead, but it's here and its glorious.

Turn On Your Love Light

The Matrix

A rarity: No Pig or Bobby & no vocals. Still, beautifully inventive soloing shows why they kept it in rotation for so long. This "goof" is worth it.

So much feeling coming off an interstellar DS>StS>11 and then they just put this show to bed with brilliance and feeling.

Perfect acoustic version. A beautiful gem from the early era.

Hey right on, Gerry O. That's a great description.

A long sweet ride through many transitive nightfalls. Quite interstellar without going completely inter-dimensional multiverse. No meltdown on this one, but a gorgeous Tighten Up Jam starting somewhere around 14:40.

A compact gem. The boys were out to impress England tonight. Doesn't have the overdrive power of the famous '71s, but a damned fine single-length version in front of what was like a totally unfamiliar audience.
