The boys were still inspired after that 46min Playin' and it shows. Possibly the best US Blues I know of. Don't overlook it or the rest of the show!

Slightly faster with a steady ostinato bass that works beautifully. No dirge, but a thoughtful tale. I hear waves against a wharf at the end.

Just cruising around nicely until about 15:00 and then they hit the warp drive and it just goes everywhere. Great '74 sound. Good, show maybe a bit underated.

Deeply weird meltdown coming out of a deceptively light and intricate jam. Real bugs under the skin and voices in the head carpet crawling towards the end.

Read about this in a New Yorker article about tapers. "Deadhead" by Nick Paumgarten in the 26.11.2012 edition. Thanks Nick, if you're lurking here, it's a beauty, and you pulled me into the 80s for a nice minute. Had this tape too and always found it... mystical. Great fun.
