Or maybe the 12th. Who cares. It's simply beautiful.

Totally free. There are Mountain Jam themes, met with Stephen Jams, then Bid You Goodnight themes. Seems they couldn't get enough. Good stuff.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
July 10, 1970
Fillmore East

The CC and transition soar, and part of an Alligator>D>TOO>Attisc>TOO>C.Ch.>Good Lovin'>D.>China>Rider>Good Lovin' über set. Rider is cut, tho.

Cosmic Charlie
July 10, 1970
Fillmore East

The single best transition into Cosmic Charlie (from TOO) that I know of. From an era when they still meant it as a psychedelic anthem... Love this.

The Other One
July 10, 1970
Fillmore East

Forgotten show with a high-voltage and energetic jam, intersected with a sweet Attics. Great show, low quality AUD.

Thanks Darkstar67, you can alwaysI trust a Miller source. I'm giving this set another day's listening. This has got to be one of the best hidden 'off the beaten path' extended 2nd set jams ever, with over an hour from Playin' all the way to Around and Around continuous.

Much more powerful on the vocals than many of the others around this time. They really belt it out as an ensemble and it's brilliant. The whole 2nd set is jaw-dropping.

Just sublime. An absolute punch-up beeyute of a standalone Scarlet. I know this is sacrilege to some of you, but I really appreciate the standalones before Scarlett was ankle-chained forever to FTM. Now I love those too, don't get me wrong, but finding SB as a set-closer (this one), or somewhere between others songs in a long jam (check her out on 15 June 1976 in between Sugar Mag and SSDD) gave it a lot of freedom that somehow got lost later on. Just sayin'.

Really should be higher. This has a strong pulse, sweet soloing, and a powerful rocking feel.

You can hear them develop a new sound for this song on both this one and the version from the 14th. There's no other way to describe it, but it's the first real indication to my ear of where they'd be by the beginning of '77, more crisp, more clean, and much more polished.
