Brilliant vocals. Jerry stretches it out. Funky, sexed up version.

They Love Each Other

Less reggae than the Spring '73 versions, this one is fully rockin'. Jer's on, both with vocals and solos.

The Other One

The Spectrum

A must-hear. Goes through four or five melodic/rhythmic innovations, odd time sigs and a MLBesque jam outro. Avoid Lai's version with a nasty cut.

Stunning w/ great Phil solo into TOO. A 2nd set from heaven: LIG>He's Gone>Truckin>TOO>Wharf Rat. Don't be put off by 1st set flubs, listen to this!

Playin' In The Band

Subtle, simmering, with slow, steady intensity. To my ears this show has mix issues and needs re-work - but definitely worth it.

I disregarded this show for too many years, and I'm not sure why now, 'cause its got the goods on every number. This Dew owns its votes. Listen and love.

It sounds like Keith has twenty fingers. Killer piano work on this uptempo jumper.

Everything about this set just kicks ass. FreedomHaul said it well.

Hadn't listened to this show on the box set yet, and sweet jeezus this PiTB got a big upgrade. Beg, borrow, or rip the box version and be amazed. Any show that kicks of with this kind of monster is going to be very good indeed. The good just gets better.

The SSDD is over-the top. Total balls-to-the-wall jam.
