Phil and Pigpen interplay like few others I know. Brilliant and clear, with a thumping good vibe.

Mister Charlie

Jerry's tone on this is dialed all the way in. Really special soloing on this one.
Comes A Time
April 26, 1972
Jahrhunderthalle

Powerful. Perfectly executed. The track list for the complete show on the archive is off by one song, so it has Comes a Time coming in at an extraordinary 36 minutes and 28 seconds, which is pretty funny when you think about it. In any case, they really pull this one off beautifully, even if it's a mere 6:40....
Truckin'

Well I guess just like Bobby on this version, sometimes people just fuck up the words.
Chinatown Shuffle
April 26, 1972
Jahrhunderthalle

Coming off of an extraordinarily energetic Playin', this one has an extra oomph with the tempo just a bit higher, and Billy's back beat kicking it forward with a great, almost reckless driving pulse.
Greatest Story Ever Told

Jahrhunderthalle

Absolutely in need of more votes. If you listen carefully, you can hear exactly when they break the badassery barrier. Jerry shreds like a man possessed, Keith is brilliant, Billy all over it, and of course Bobby and Donna are in perfect sync.
