Playin' In The Band

Early Playin'>MHUT>Big River>Playin' sandwich. Worth it for the surprise bigbang key-changer from River into the wildassed 2nd Playin'.

Let It Grow

Liberated from the Horn Section, the boys let 'er rip. Standard fare until about 6:30, then Jer and Keith just explode into full immensity.

Cumberland Blues

Up and jumping, fast and precise version in spite of a few sound quality problems.

Black Throated Wind

Sound quality may prevent some from appreciating this show, but don't miss this one. Bobby gives it everything, everyone goes nuts behind him.

Sing Me Back Home

War Memorial

Forgotten or overlooked, but melts-in-your-mouth sweet. More of a triumphant blues than the gospel beauties from '72.

Hey Cucamonga007! Dju know that there's a video of this show? Hell yeah, baby, you can find it on Youtube, and while not the complete show, it's pretty damned cool. Yeah, Europe '71, right on!

Is this true? Can anyone confirm? He was definitely at the show, and the only thing I'm going on is my ears, that there's a third guitar solo, different tone, and a badassed jam that needs to be heard. Anyone?

Very fine good old GD here. Fans of '70 need to hear this one if they haven't already. The piano is a bit of a mistery.

Some sources say Pigpen. Sweet version in any case.

Gets better with every single listen. The outro jam is so special. That isn't a MLB, but like some beautiful next-level of spontaneous composition that only guys who can read each others' musicminds can reach after years of doing it. Second comment on this one, but thanks for bringing it back up on the radar. Just wonderful.
