New Potato Caboose

Long crystal clear Jerry solos throughout and a great recording for '68. Gets tighter throughout the jam.

Fast, reckless, and smokin' hot. A must have for fans of '68 and all its psychedelic glory. Goes into a nice best New Potato Caboose too.

Succinct and powerful. A nice '68 set starting (!) with Dark Star and Stephen. Mellow.

Great extended spacey jam. Check out around 05:10 - 05:40 for what sounds impossibly like a FTM tease. PHIL !

Jerry's on fire in this show opener. Not my favorite song, but just a rippin' version here. Wish I could have been there....

Work-in-progress rarity. Hard to imagine such standards at one point needed to be worked out and developed. Compare this to the studio outtake listed as February 1st in an unknown location for a sweet peak into their creative process.

Even if it does sound like someone is playing a tattoo gun into the microphone at times. Who cares? Anything acoustic from 1970 is of such great musical/historical importance, I'd listen to it from the bottom of a swimming pool if that was the only way....

One of those moments of pure equilibrium and e.s.p. between musicians that feels like infinity. Seems like they could accomplish anything: walk through walls, tear the sky apart, appear in a thousand places. "Wings a mile long just carried the bird away" indeed. Kesey said somewhere that we heads will listen to a 1000 hours just to reach moments like this one. This is certainly one.

Coming back to this feels like that first sip of water after a day in the desert, everything just perfectly right on.

Yo, the Sleuth: listen to everything he recommends. He's no bullshit at all.
