Massive and powerful. Jerry and Keith are just brilliant. OK, that all from me on this great show.

Uncle John's Band
Feb. 11, 1970
Fillmore East

What the '70 Dead sound is all about: From an hour-long at times frantic and at all time intensely rocking Dark Star>Love Light jam session with special guests to a sweet and lovely acoustic three-part harmony UJB in a matter of minutes. Their well was just so incredibly deep.
Cumberland Blues
Feb. 11, 1970
Fillmore East

Deserves much more love. The whole show has a crackling electricity to it. They're dialed way in and amped way up. Brilliant from start to finish.
Not Fade Away
Feb. 11, 1970
Fillmore East

I'd vote for this one again and again if allowed to. Like high-tension wires, it crackles and jumps. The mix is high on the treble end and slightly tinny, but this just adds to the adrenalin rush.
Dire Wolf
Feb. 11, 1970
Fillmore East

Follows a high-voltage and dangerous TOO>Cryptical, once again showing the turn-on-a-dime stylistic breadth of our boys here. From psychedelic super-rush to a sweet country ditty (about paranoia) in one clean sweep.
Franklin's Tower

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

Everything I look for in a Franklin's. It was always the mark of a great show for me when they broke this out. This one does not disappoint.
