Looks Like Rain
June 27, 1976
Auditorium Theatre
Jerry and Keith are just on fire behind the beautiful vocal duet. This show is underappreciated. Give it a spin....

Friend of the Devil

Always preferred the fast ones, but listening to Jerry rip up the solos here and it makes sense. Killer version here (with a rude AUD patch though).

Brown Eyed Women
June 27, 1976
Auditorium Theatre
Has a crisp and tight disco shuffle prefiguring the '77 sound. Jerry's solo fills are precise and brilliant. Donna's harmonies are as sweet as ever.

The Wheel

Auditorium Theatre
Nice on its own, and brilliant as part of a great PITB-SS-Wheel-PITB sandwich. You can hear the fun their having. Short but sweet.

Scarlet Begonias
June 26, 1976
Auditorium Theatre
From Phil's opening swoops to Jerry's passion-vox, and pristine soloing, this is a killer stand alone SB. Surprised it's not here yet.

Eyes Of The World
Feb. 3, 1978
Dane County Coliseum
Sparkling, effervescent, crystal clear and overflowing with inspiration. This one soars on wings a mile long, lifts off like sparkling light dancing on the ripples on the calm, powerful, and open sea. Certainly it's one of the great beauties. Cool comments Heads: I like "This is why and how" - Thanks Wookie.

Feelin' Groovy Jam
Oct. 30, 1973
Kiel Auditorium
They stretch this out and really take off in the FGJ, like a chemical reaction slowly churning up, then building to a bubbling musical overflow.
El Paso
Oct. 30, 1973
Kiel Auditorium
The honkytonk first set is perfected here. Jerry is possessed, galloping 100 mph behind, around, above, and in-between Bobby's flawless delivery. El Paso never gets enough love... but you can tell they're just having a blast here.
Mexicali Blues
Oct. 30, 1973
Kiel Auditorium
Follows straight out of a very western-swinging Deal and holds onto the desperado theme. Some folks find this show to be a bit too mellow, a bit slower tempo for an era filled with electrifying whirligigs, but this Mexicali shows how well they could sync together at any speed, at any energy level during this peak era.
