A Dew rec brought me to this show - the Estimated made me want to talk about it

Probably my favorite versions with Bruce and that's saying a lot.

Shakedown Street

The bass and drums are practically absent on recording but Jerry/Brent/Bobby really sound great during jams. Any '82 Shakedowns are a B at worst

12/16/78 Lite. Typical tight late '78 version with whistling Bobby and all.

Hey 1980shead, me and some other guys from the site have plans to create a bi-weekly 25 song playlist and send it out as a newsletter on Twitter. All you have to do is submit between 2-4 songs every two weeks. Sometimes you'll be asked to submit requested material but mostly creative freedom. I would love to add you to the team, specially if the 80s are your area of expertise. If interested let me know soon and tell me what era you would like to focus on. My long term goal is to eventually make each release 100% fan requested material. Come right away, join the party ah ah uh, everyday!

Lawdy lawdy do I love me a humid LLR. It was the quintessential Bobby song of the mid 80s IMO. Fire night after night. Wasn't a coincidence Ace never even gave this song a break for more than a tour. He really really likes likes rain and I feel like rain. Here it come a naw!
Althea

The Spectrum

First '85 Althea I've heard that I decided I want to share with the headyverse. Outro jam is grimy!
Ain't Superstitious (Meet Me on the Bottom)

I just went to submit this considering I'm a changed man a suddenly dig this song, specially this version and whatya know Cuca steals my thunder, lightning and matches. You're right too. Great bluesy first set with smoking Big Boss Man, Cumberland and Althea. Set two has it's own animals.
