My only rec from anything out of '70 - this entire show has special place in my heart

Perfect final chorus. Love it when Garcia chimes in with 'and you got yours!'Like he's directly speaking to his bandmates

This Straw is the modern day acid test(please talk about it at link at bottom of page if you legit dig it). If you give this Jackie a proper whirl and can't score it any better than a C+ than we as fans cam not recognize each other in this strange Dead Planet. If you do enjoy the Straw do the community service and holla at it. I measured it on a scale and it's 3.5 times better (yes, better) than any JS from '71-'73...you know those JS that are clogging up the path for honest/creative selections like 11/21/78 http://headyversion.com/submission/894/grateful-dead-jack-straw-1978-11-21/
Truckin'

As an unofficial spokesman for GD78 I can;t up-vote this one. I dig it, but the band ran outta gas. It was bold to even attempt Trucking considering two days later a show would be canceled due to JG illness. I believe laryngitis. 4/12., 1/6, 12/28 and 4/21 are much stronger representations of '78 Truckin....Listen to this one anyway, my preferred source https://archive.org/details/gd1978-11-21.sbd.carpenter-andrewf.87023.sbeok.flac16

The Peter is ass kicking but Jackie is the alpha dog this night. The entire show is really solid and band puts on quite the lengthy show up in Rochester(11 song set 1 that ROCKS)The Truckin' is okay, but kinda chill for ''78. I recommend this audio source, it's a SBD https://archive.orga/details/gd1978-11-21.sbd.carpenter-andrewf.87023.sbeok.flac16

Cuca Love the passion but going to have to disagree. There is at least one all star every song performance - just like in every game there's a winner. I'll check out the Birdie and to make it fun check out my most recent Birdie 4/22/86, make sure to listen to SBD. Some might say it's the fastest Bird Song they've ever heard. If you're into that kind of shit. It features these chirping sounds that's cheesier than anything Vince ever played...but I like cheese. Specially hot and melted! The MVP is Jerry, Silver to Phil and Bronze to Brent. Ace is kind of low in the mix, too bad. Can't get on base in every game.

I can't tell if I genuinely really dug this or if I'm only a believer due to denial/rejection of most things GD '85 since day one. I finally get it! Strong year for Bucket for sure. They played to it's strengths. Great jam into 'you must really consider circus' and Bobby clearly enjoyed the RIDE he's taken to mystery area that prepares/pumps him up about singing the end to a tune!
