That sweet sweet honky tonk metalic twang

This one really soars and rivals 5/7/78 as my favorite.

Very powerful version with fun jamming and a raucous ending from a show I neglected for too long

If nothing else check out jam from 4:10-6:31 it's insane. Recording is mostly Jerry, Keith and Phil but it works.

For Bobby slide fans, great ripping version from their killer first set since Egypt. Jed--->Straw are fire!

I'm CrackStraw for a reason - folks you have to trust me on this one. Pull the fire alarm on this one!

Next time you want to listen to Jack Straw make it this one. This is my last attempt to whore this one out. Not to take away anything from the previous version(5/7/79, which is a smoker) but this is the best Jack Straw from May '79. The energy is nuts and the clappers actually sound great on tape.

One of the best of the year. Don't let the AUD discourage you, it sounds just fine. Great TMNS to end set 1 as well. The only Straw from '80 with more energy might be 1/13/80. The only one's that are on same level with this one (from '80) are 5/12, 5/15, 9/29 and 12/28. There's a lot of clunker version starting after Alaska and up till 8/30 Philly

Check it out. Tons of energy!

I love this show too. Much more than the next night which people seem to adore. The Cold Rain and Snow from this show is so laid back, slinky and joyful!
