The Music Never Stopped
Dec. 12, 1978
Jai-Alai Fronton
There's nothing like a '78 TMNS yet this one some how separates itself from the shelf. Maybe not my favorite from the year but so damn unique! Keith's droning chords are a treat. Jerry's tone and rhythm are silky clouds of fun.

Allan Kirby Field House
One of Bobby's best. Just when you think the final verse is going to be sung they swing it into overdrive. Fools me every time. Love hearing the clappers on the aud recording!

One of Keith's best efforts with this song. Jerry is very crunchy as well.

The Mosque
Theme from the opium den. Beautiful and exploratory.

One of my favorite version from the 90's. Love the chaotic MIDI laced sound. Weir crushes it but to quote KLAUSSMITH Rejuvenated, go back and listen to every Jack Straw from '78-'80 for the real killers. I would include '77 to that list.(5/8,5/11,5/12,5/17,5/21,5/25,6/7,6/9,10/29,11/1, 11/5 and 11/6)
