The biggest 180 i've ever taken on a song was LLR. Probably because in my early GD days I focused mostly on '70-'74. LLR is one of the few songs that constantly progressed(TMNS, Deal, and Sugaree are other examples of progression) IMO. Far from being a verifiable '83-'89 hype man, but I can't deny the best LLRs were performed during those years. To this day Bobby sings it amazing.

Getting off on validation over musical tastes is probably silly to take pride in, but I do. Everything I rec to this site are versions I have played so many god damn times...tried and tested. I go by CrackStraw due to my addiction to cutting out the BS and abusing and reabusing songs from specific nights that always give me eargasms. I have no reservations over binging on songs and just fast forwarding to the jam that got me hooked. The first set of this show is in glorious SBD and the Jack Straw is so god damn insane and isn't even the most manic one of the year. Great Minglewood, LLR and Deal too

Things that happened during the show up until drums never happened prior to nor can not be repeated. I think the band might have binged harder during Spring '78 than any tour prior to it. It's rumored that the band was filled to the gills with mescaline during 5/11/78s show and the fact Jerry played his standard Cold Rain solo twice in a row might back up the anecdote. Great show! Lots of grunting and laughter throughout,

Peggy O is probably my least favorite GD staple. I don't dislike it, but it's just not for me....which probably means it'll be one of my favorite songs within the next few years. Plenty of songs I adore I despised for years before embracing them. I'll revisit this one soon.
