That sweet sweet honky tonk metalic twang

This one really soars and rivals 5/7/78 as my favorite.

Very powerful version with fun jamming and a raucous ending from a show I neglected for too long

If nothing else check out jam from 4:10-6:31 it's insane. Recording is mostly Jerry, Keith and Phil but it works.

For Bobby slide fans, great ripping version from their killer first set since Egypt. Jed--->Straw are fire!

Sugaree
Aug. 27, 1972
Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

This is an objective and non-biased take I agree with KSU. Pre-'76 Sugarees can be enjoyable but it should be against the rules to present any early 70s Sugaree as a candidate for 'best' ever. ;)
Terrapin Station
Jan. 10, 1978
Shrine Auditorium

Other than mixing up the dates (Terrapin was played on 1/11 not 1/10) I couldn't agree more, This Terrapin is a beat down! No pussy soothing/sparkly noise, Just thunder and fear here

This is my kind of Terrapin it's more exiting that the top 3 combined! If you dig this one check out other greats from 78 1/11!, 1/18, 1/31, 4/11, 10/18, and 11/1/77 belongs with this group
Ramble On Rose

Cal Expo

I deleted it. Too much personal chatting. Your best bet is to just browse my list of submissions and comments and unless noted I enjoy the entire show. Every song i post about has my stamp of excellence haha. 1/18/78 has been slaying me today, maybe start there? Great 1/2 Step, Straw, All Over Now, Row Jimmy, LL>Supp, Terrapin>PITB, Estimated>Stella and Sugar Mags. Jerry's guitar tone is one of a yodeling grizzly bear
Franklin's Tower

I like it even better than 11/9/79s
