Rare, rootsy and spare reading. The one in '79 when Jer's mic blew had more torque.

Wharf Rat

Absolutely mesmerizing - this right here should be way closer to the top of the list than the bottom folks. Bird songesque fer sure. Soulful melodic energy - listen then vote your conscience.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Austin Municipal Auditorium

Thanks DS - this rendition never fails to satisfy and Phil Lesh - nuff said! And also glad I’m not the only one who believes this take delivers the goods.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 22, 1972
Austin Municipal Auditorium

Do me a favor and just listen to this <flat reg or tape wobble or not> This China Cat is STACKED with ideas - this is like the Pandora’s box for China Cat riffs. Oh yeah then Phil brings the lumber on Rider lead bass guitar. Dang everybody’s exhausted so Jerry literally tries to shoot out all the lights before the last chorus. This is one of those did I just hear that? renditions. Sorry- just noticed I’ve been here before ha....and why I got on here was to say this CC is pretty fucking root gear for Country Jazz GD. ..
