Let It Grow
Dec. 27, 1982
Oakland Auditorium

Jer's tunneling furiously not as fast as some but with determined crankiness. Cowbell, loping Phil all here - great dissonant ending.

The whole gang collectively barrel roll through this one in hot fashion and then DJ squats on it.

Voted for this way back but sitting at my desk getting my work done today watching CW&I and HeY Now!! Watch the video and see Jerry Bop, See Jerry Smile and See Jerry Roll. The boys are all sorts of fired up as was I back on this day.

Turn On Your Love Light
April 12, 1971
Civic Arena

Yeah so this is probably my favorite Lovelight - these motherfuckers are downright dangerous here - loose, tight, compact, ropey, instrumentally macho AF, howling, ruckus creating wrecking crew - when you positively gotta jump on that wagon for 12 mins I can assure this is a Lovelight that's gonna take you where you wanna go. No real breakdown on the rap (no points off by my card) this thing just keeps rolling with Phil laying pavement everywhere and the whole band in mind meld mode. Garcia delivers all the tones of the rainbow that only dogs and cats can see. Go Jerry Go!
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

I demand a recount! 3 lousy votes for this monster peak powered NFA>GDTRFB>NFA is a travesty. Peak year and tour for this combo - energy and jamsmanship that cannot be denied once heard...not kidding here. .
