This is a tragically overlooked version. Bobby's guitar is loud and proud. Jerry's Strat playing was as clean and twangy as it got on this song.

^^^ I agree, this is not a superior version to the 77 - 82 era. The Barton Hall and 03/10/81 versions are every bit as good as this one. I must say though, this one is really good. I recently compared this one to the Copps, 03/10/81 show. It's the early versus the late Brent era Dead. I think both versions are really strong, Brent's organ work, and his variety of key boards, especially on this version really add a lot. Keith was a really good piano player but Brent's contribution on this song works a lot better for me. It's just a matter of preference.

this was is the featured video on the Reddit G.D site right now. From the G.D Movie and none by most heads on this site. After watching the video I listened to the Miller transfer, which is so well mixed and so clear. This being just a few shows from their hiatus, they put every ounce of emotion into this one. The result is a heartfelt and mesmerizing Dew.

^^ I think this version stands up to any 90s version, even 03/22/90, which is also really good. Those two shows kind of book end the Midland - Tiger era. The only real difference in the 90 show is the that 9 years of advancement in sound quality. This MSG version is crisp and energetic and is enhanced by Brent's organ work, on both songs; an improvement over Keith's piano work, in my opinion. And yes, the Miller transfer is the way to go on this one.

Nice clear. energetic version. Keith was playing Organ on this one which adds a nice touch and doesn't over power Bobby's guitar. Jerry takes Wolf on a nice ride here, good stuff!

^^Good call on the jug band homage, DS67! Tc's organ adds a circus organ feel to the jug band vibe. Very unique stuff here. This show has gotten a lot of play lately, for good reason.
