^^This a Wolf showcase! It sounds like a hyper-strat. With Jerry so high in the mix you can hear every nuance of his playing. Hearing the audience puts you right there. I compared this to the Miller transfer, which is perfectly mixed, of course, Bobbys just as high in the mix, as is everyone else. It sounds like a different version. It's apples and oranges, both versions are great and should be listend to. Good find!

In honor of Billy's birthday. As Phil said in his book, Billy was like a young God on the Europe 72 tour, "at the top of his game". I fully agree. This O1, which Billy co-wrote,simply by providing the definitive drum beat for this song, is a musical journey that builds to a blistering level that the band hit only on occasional performances, which is really saying something. Listen for Billy every one!

I've listened to this show quite a bit lately, and this song always stands out. TC's organ is high in the mix on this show, which is a really good addition. This song had been played for less then a month at this point, this version was hitting another level.

^^ I agree, this is a really good version from a really good show, both early and late. Songs from this show have been popping up on this sight a lot lately, for good reason.

^^I can't. Jerry's solo, on this song, at the Veneta show was kind of sloppy. I can't say that about too many of his solos during the strat years. On this version, he was in control of the effects and his playing was precise and nimble. The whole band was laying it down on this one. The Stanley Theater was slways a stellar venue for them.
