Candyman
Nov. 6, 1970
Capitol Theater
This really nice early Candy Man. This one is after Truckin. The first two are sound checks, I think.

Uncle John's Band

Capitol Theater
This is one of the better acoustic versions of this song. The sound quality isn't the best but the performance is spot on.

Loser
Nov. 15, 1971
The Austin Municipal Auditorium
This is a tragically overlooked version. Bobby's guitar is loud and proud. Jerry's Strat playing was as clean and twangy as it got on this song.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 7, 1969
Fillmore Auditorium
The forth live performance of these 2 songs put together. It starts out a little rough, then it evolves into a well paced and played China Rider.

Loser
Feb. 27, 1981
Uptown Theater
This is a really good find here, Sally! When Jerry nails that opening guitar line and his vocal gets that high lonesome tone, you know that you've got something. And this one really delivers that intangible quality that happens when this song is done right. Although I prefer the Strat tone that Jerry was getting on this song in 72, he's in the ball park with Tiger on this one. This version definitely deserves more attention.

Agreed, completely!^
Deal

University of Iowa
Jerry's laying down some tasty, country, Strat licks. The vocals are a little high on this recording. This looks like the only source for this show.
Around and Around

Bobby handles Chuck Berry covers with a lot of glee. This one is a good example of that. I love what Jerry's doing with that Strat on this song, and the whole show. 71, single kit, no clutter, no brainer!
Dark Star
March 16, 1973
Nassau Coliseum
Billy was really setting the direction of this one. I think he was in a Jazzy mood!
