Giants Stadium

The boys had the odasity to play this song during their set at Giants stadium during the Dylan and the Dead tour, and rightfully so!

If it wasn't for some audio glitches, this would be one of the top versions of this song. Keith and Donna are both outstanding on this one.

A brilliantly played O1 that has been tragically overlooked. The mix on this is spot on.

Easy Wind

Winterland Arena

There is a nice guitar interplay between Jerry and Bobby on this one. Nice bouncy version.

Capitol Theater

Other than some talking on this recording, this is a really good version.

The Other One

Concertgebouw

Mind fucking soundscape that takes you through some unpredictable psychedelic musical terrain. Then it makes a soft landing into M&BG, then spits you right back out into the O1 reprise and then the bittersweet comfort of Wharf Rat. Partial thanks to the Bear for this one!

The European tour O1s became psychedelic, mind blowing, soundscapes. This one is no exception. I think the version 2 days later in Amsterdam, is even more mind blowing! I think Owsley's extra strength concoction, that they took on that tour, had a lot to do with the outcome of this song, and the Dark Star's during that tour!
Death Don't Have No Mercy

Thanks DS67! I'm kind of stuck in 69 right now. Must be that 50 year reunion thing!

Fillmore West

Agreed, completely! ^ A brain fuck journey, and everyone's on board. I love this show!
Dark Star
March 2, 1969
Fillmore West

Agreed.^ But this version is still a well played, energetic, effort. T.C is up in the mix, and on the oppisite channel of Bobby's guitar, highlighting his significant contribution on the organ. I still prefer 02/27, but I dig almost all of the Dark Stars, of this era, the most!
