Not the best recording, but Jerry vocals are just right on this version.

Bobby's voice is in top form on this tight, energetic version. The transition into NFA is flawless.

Not Fade Away

This is a tight, high enegy, version. Really about as good as this song got. You can tell the audience agreed.

Don't Ease Me In

Good acoustic version of this song. The audio quality isn't as good as the 05/70 versions but the playing and vocals are quite good.

From an all acoustic set. Tight harmonies on this one.

The Other One
March 3, 1971
Fillmore West

Jerry's galloping right out of the gate, with a Gibson in hand. In March and April Jerry swapped the Strat for a Les Paul. This partially explains why this O1 sounds so unique. This was also the 2nd time they played this song since Mickey's departure. They where the original Warlocks again with 6 years of playing together, and it shows! Even Pig is making a strong contribution on organ. And Bobby's laying down strong rhythm support for Jerrys energetic and inventive lead lines. And of course, Billy was now free to lock in with Phil, who was feeling Jerry's every move. This O1, along with the 02-19 version, kind of set a template for the structure of this song, at least until Keith arrived 8 months later. This is a really good find, Mercury!
Wharf Rat

Nashville Municipal Auditorium

Jerry's vocal is very strong on this one. Donna 's harmony is on pitch and lovely. And more importantly, Wolf is soaring throughout Jerry's solo, especially the outro!
Wharf Rat

Capitol Theater

Some very confident and strong vocals and playing by Jerry, with just the right backup by the boys, on this one! Just the right delivery of this song, in my book.

Capitol Theater

This is the Other One that I know and love. Energetic psychedelic magic, transitioning into an elegant Wharf Rat!
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

Capitol Theater

This a crisp and energetic version, sandwiched between two delightful Not fade aways. I love this post Mickey era!
