The boys had the odasity to play this song during their set at Giants stadium during the Dylan and the Dead tour, and rightfully so!

It Must Have Been The Roses

If it wasn't for some audio glitches, this would be one of the top versions of this song. Keith and Donna are both outstanding on this one.

The Other One

San Jose state university

A brilliantly played O1 that has been tragically overlooked. The mix on this is spot on.

Easy Wind
Oct. 26, 1969
Winterland Arena

There is a nice guitar interplay between Jerry and Bobby on this one. Nice bouncy version.

It Must Have Been The Roses

Capitol Theater

Other than some talking on this recording, this is a really good version.

Stella Blue
Oct. 10, 1976
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

^^ Good ear on the time signature change during the last part of the jam, CC. I think it stays in 4/4 throughout the piece. However, when they go into the Playin riff, the whole band speeds up, just a little, then the drummers start playing a syncopated rhythm within the 4/4/ time structure. That's how I hear it anyway. I love this Jam!
High Time
May 17, 1977
Memorial Coliseum

Roert Hunter tells us another tale of a man who is reflecting on his broken life and the woman that he lost. Jerry puts these words to a beautiful country melody. No other version, that I've heard, delivers this song as well as this one.
Wharf Rat
May 19, 1974
Portland Memorial Coliseum

I haven't heard this one. Jerry's vocals are strong and truthfull. The instrumentation is different on this version, perky and a little faster. Excellent version.
To Lay Me Down
Sept. 18, 1990
Madison Square Garden

^^That must have been an emotional experience for you, bzfgt! Since the passing of Robert Hunter, this song seems especially poignant.
To Lay Me Down
Aug. 3, 1982
Starlight Theatre

^^ Agreed! 9/18/90 has the emotional edge over this one because it was the first TLMD played after Brent's passing.
