Wedged in a energetic psychdelic explosion, this Merle Haggard classic provides a contrast in mood and direction. Jerry's twanging it up!

Mystery Dew! I don't think this was played during this show. Listen on the Glassberg/Miller on the archive.

If you like this song. even a little bit, you have to listen to this version! For my money this is as good as this song gets!

A crisp, cooking Allligator that was somehow missed. It transitions into Drums, then a t 11, tease, jam then the 11.

Death Don't Have No Mercy

Melodyland Theatre

Good find, RJ! This isn't on the archive. I, surprisingly, found it in you tube. This is a very strong version, right in the magic psychedelic era of the band. Jerrys singing and playing are strong and emotional and TC adds some very nice flourishes. I'll have to compare to some other great versions of this song, but this could be in my top 5.l

This one takes you on a sonic adventure.

I just listened to the Miller transfer of this. Very nice, well balanced intro jam over all. Contemplative and inventive. This Dark Star deserves a vote as well!
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Sept. 20, 1970
Fillmore East

This is a must listen to version, if you're a China Rider fan. This one is well mixed, well played and high energy throughout. Jerry plays a short Mountain Jam quote in the intro. I think he's playing a Strat on this one, a nice choice, especially for rider.

^^^ You're right Sally. Bobby is very high in the mix, his guitar over powers Jerry's, especially on Rider. If it wasn't for that, this would be a good version. Maybe Charlie Miller could fix this problem, this is a good show.
