Ramble On Rose

Easttown Theatre

This is a clear and well delivered version of this song. Jerry's vocals are strong and Keith is adding some very nice honky-tonk piano!

Good Morning Little Schoolgirl
Feb. 4, 1969
The Music Box

Very solid bluesy show opener for what whould soon be a psychadelic explosion. Jerry's Gibson tone permiates your bones.

This is pure 69 psychadelic energy, at it's very best!

Truckin'

Winterland Arena

Crisp, clean and energetic. Bobby's guitar is up in the mix, and it was about 8 months before Keith's piano would step on his complex rythm work!

The Other One

This is another example of the fantastic, energetic, psyhadelic magic that the boys got, post Mickey and pre Keith!

Fillmore East (Late Show)

^^Agreed. Trouble ahead for the boy's, but on that night, all was well. Early and late, both good shows.
Turn On Your Love Light
Feb. 23, 1968
Kings Beach Bowl

^^^ I think the drummers sound pretty locked in on this one, considering they had played together for less then 5 months. It's not the best recording, that's for sure, but the playing is good and it's bursting with energy
China Doll
May 21, 1974
Edmundson Pavilion

Jerry really sells the vocal on this one. It sounds like Keith is playing organ and piano at the same time, maybe someone else is playing organ. Ship of fools also has a nice organ part. They did have guests occasionally, so who knows.
Dark Star
Feb. 23, 1968
Kings Beach Bowl

^^^This is a good example of a very early Dark Star. it's fast and simple. There are no extended jams. There are no drums just maracas and guiro. This song really evolved through 68, by October this would become a psychedelic master piece; specifically 10-12-68.
Playin' In The Band
March 23, 1981
Rainbow Theatre

Good version. Nice call and response between Jerry and Bobby during Jerrys solo.
