It's to bad that the audio quality is so bad on this one. the playing and vocal harmonies are on the money.

The steel guitar, which I assume Jerry is playing, really helps to make this early version a good one.

Cryptical Envelopment

The Ark

Yes, that Miller version is the best!
The Other One
Nov. 22, 1968
Veterans Hall

If the audio quality was better on this, it would be a very highly regarded version. Fast, precise and energetic! The same goes for the entire show, the 300 people in that Columbus Ohio hall probably still have this show permeated in their brains.
St. Stephen
April 21, 1969
The Ark

Just the right tempo here. Jerry and Bobby's voices seat together very well on this one. Then they transition into an energetic t11. This whole show is good. There was something about those Ark shows that brought out the magic in the boys!
Cryptical Envelopment

The Ark

The slide work that Jerry was doing coming out of tO1, into the Cryptical reprise, was quite exquisite. Then the build up to the verse and the outro arpeggios, 69 goodness here.
Turn On Your Love Light

Avalon Ballroom

Almost 24 minutes of love lite and I was in it the whole time. The energy level and the variety of Jerry's gutair lines really makes this a version well worth listening to!
