Candyman
Nov. 6, 1970
Capitol Theater

This really nice early Candy Man. This one is after Truckin. The first two are sound checks, I think.

Uncle John's Band
Nov. 6, 1970
Capitol Theater

This is one of the better acoustic versions of this song. The sound quality isn't the best but the performance is spot on.

Loser
Nov. 15, 1971
The Austin Municipal Auditorium

This is a tragically overlooked version. Bobby's guitar is loud and proud. Jerry's Strat playing was as clean and twangy as it got on this song.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 7, 1969
Fillmore Auditorium

The forth live performance of these 2 songs put together. It starts out a little rough, then it evolves into a well paced and played China Rider.

Cryptical Envelopment
Aug. 22, 1968
Fillmore West

Energized, Phil drivin Cryptical, longer then its song mate tO1.

Good Morning Little Schoolgirl
Sept. 16, 1966
Avalon Ballroom

This is about as good as this song got, in my opinion. This is some of Pig's best harp playing and Jerry is at his 1966 best, for sure.
The Eleven
April 12, 1969
Student Union Ballroom, U. Utah

Jerry's fingers where flying across that red SG. Classic stuff!
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Oct. 31, 1970
School Gymnasium, S.U.N.Y.

Agreed, but it is unique because of the addition of the New Riders. To bad it cuts off abruptly.
Cream Puff War
Dec. 4, 1966
The Matrix Club

No wonder it sounds as good as 12-01, because it is 12-01. Good ear Dark Star 67. I think a lot of the 66 recordings might be mislabeled. 12-01-66 is Rolling Stone pick for best concert of that year. All of late 66 sounds pretty good.
Brokedown Palace
May 25, 1972
Strand Lyceum

Pig pen is playing organ along with Keith's piano, on this one. This was kind of a rarity by this point in their musical evolution. This is a very nice version from a very good 72 Europe show.
